چکیده
A good asphalt mixture is very important to maintain the triangle of sustainability. Many accidents occur due pavement damage such as permanent deformation caused by external loads induced heavy traffic. Stone Mastic Asphalt (SMA) has a low resistance moisture and other performances. researchers have conducted on SMA using various types fiber. However, not much research been done steel fiber in analyzed result obtained statistical approach. The objective this was identify optimum amount modified characterize performance approach Response Surface Methodology (RSM) Design Expert Software. In study, proportions 0 percent, 0.3 0.5 0.7 percent total weight were used. Marshall stability flow test, dynamic creep susceptibility ultimately, RSM analysis used evaluate properties fiber-modified SMA, which contained 6.2 PEN 60/70 binder content. testing findings unmistakably demonstrated that addition greatly improves mixture’s deformation. An found be most content from optimization Methodology, thus proven with additional enhancing mixture. As result, it can determined mixtures improved construction pavements, method an efficient for producing appropriate empirical model relating parameters predicting best asphaltic

Evaluation of permanent deformation characteristics of unmodified and Polyethylene Terephthalate modified asphalt mixtures using dynamic creep test
Plastics have prominent utilization worldwide. Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) is one of the major types of plastics that can be found in the Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) [1]. MSW contains high proportion of thermoplastic polymers which has been increasing in value. PET is a semi-crystalline thermoplastic polymer, and is considered as polyester material [2]. Large amount of waste PET is being p...

Ceramic fiber, with a major composition of Al₂O₃ and SiO₂, has advantages of stability at relatively high temperature, big specific surface area and resistance to external mechanical vibration. It has the potential contribution of improving the rutting resistance and temperature sensitivity of modified asphalt binder by proper modification design. In this research, ceramic fiber was introduced ...

This study was conducted in order to evaluate the effects of long term ageing on toughness and resilient modulus of asphalt concrete mixtures containing Electric Arc and Basic Oxygen Furnace steel slags. After initial evaluation of the properties of steel slags using X-ray Diffraction and Scanning Electric Microscope, eleven sets of laboratory mixtures were prepared. Each set was treated replac...
متن کاملImpact of Fiber Reinforcement on Deformation Characteristics of Cemented Sand-Gravel Mixtures
This paper describes triaxial compression tests conducted to determine the effect of fiber inclusion on stiffness and deformation characteristics of sand-gravel mixtures. Tested soil was a mixture of Babolsar sand from the shores of the Caspian Sea and Karaj River gravel. Portland cement was used as the cementing agent and fibers 12mm in length and 0.023mm in diameter at 0%, 0.5% and 1.0% were ...
